·         To help build a promising future, leave a legacy with a lasting and meaningful impact on youths.
·         Inspire, encourage, and enable participation in soccer
Mission
  • Promote football and to provide opportunities for all youth
  • Emphasize the development of self-esteem, good sportsmanship, fitness, achievement, teamwork, and skill as well as encourage courtesy, proper conduct and respect for authority by the players, officials, and spectators through the playing of the game.
Philosophy
Our philosophy for ideal long term youth player development is to play possessive attacking football.
Possessive meaning we like to keep the ball in the attack.
Attacking meaning we like to penetrate when we see the right opportunity. This style of play takes time, patience and skill to develop; however, this style will set up our players at all levels to reach their goals in football while enjoying their selves.
Each player will be well rounded in regards to their physical, technical and physiological abilities on the field.  All players ideally need to be able to play all positions, as it helps them to understand the game better while being taught a balance of attack and defence.
Off field, we will teach all of our players to be polite and respectful while being tough and aggressive.
A great soccer player equals a great student equalling into a great citizen.

A Brief History
Ground Stars Football Club is located in Chilchila Division–Kipkelion District – Kericho County. This is a place where the Nandi’s fought with the colonialist during the pre-colonial period, it is also the place where a fossil ape ‘’Kenyapithecus wickeri’’ was discovered by Louis Leakey in 1961.
Ground stars was formed in late 90’ early 2000’ when they broke up and form a branch of young stars fc. This formation was due to growing number of young players who wanted playing time in the parent team as most players ware students.
Ground stars fc begun taking its shape in 2007 when there was much rivalry with Ruiru (Cherara) during which they had many local tournaments and friendly matches which strengthened the team up until we got our first uniform in Kipkelion Constituency Football tournament sponsored by Hon. Magerer Langat.
Since it was a young team, senior player had to take up management positions for the team and begun coaching.
In 2013 they won the Zeddy Cup, Became 3rd in Hon Rop Tournament.
In 2017, 2018, 2019 they have won MCA annual tournament.
